Safe and efficient inspections

With the Cygnus Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge integrated with our Blueye X3 you are able to do more than a visual underwater inspection. This user-friendly method of conducting thickness measurements will decrease time and costs of both periodic and ad-hock inspections. The X3 will reach inspection areas that are unfeasible to heavy ROVs and divers, and also clears the risks involved in inspections using divers.

Live thickness readings are displayed in the Blueye app without the need for additional software. The measurements are given with an accuracy of 0.1 mm and verified with triple-echo verification. This integration allows you to measure thickness without removing protective coatings, as the probe will measure through coatings and marine growth up to 12 mm.

Use-cases with Cygnus UT Gauge:

  • Remote inspections

  • Reveal corrosion extent

  • Conduct UWILDs and NDT

  • Inspections of hulls, propellers, tanks, pipes, and offshore constructions
